Pottery Flowers
All Sunflowers, Daisies and Black-eyed Susans are finished with securely-attached rust-proof, coated wire for hanging with the exception of our Mini Sunflowers, Baby Daisies and Baby Black-eyed Susans, which accommodate your preferred hanging apparatus. Mini Sunflowers, Baby Daisies and Baby Black-eyed Susans are sold with an 18" stake upcycled from political campaign signs (Black Cat Pottery is a non-partisan recycler).
All Sunflowers, Daisies, Black-eyed Susans and Poppies are water proof as well as frost proof for the average high-midwestern winter (insofar as such a thing actually exists).
Each piece is individually fabricated, bisque fired, glazed, high-fired and finished by me in my production and teaching studio, making each one a unique work of art.
Pottery Sunflowers
Our Original, Fancy and Deluxe Sunflowers are available in seven sizes (all measurements are approximate): Mini (4.5" diameter; comes with 18" stake upcycled from political campaign signs), Tiny (7" diameter), Small (8" diameter), Medium (10" diameter), Large (12" diameter), Extra-Large (14" diameter) and Ginormous (16" diameter). Tiny and Small Sunflowers fit on standard ¼"steel stakes; Medium and Large Sunflowers have standard ½" copper fittings while Extra-Large and Ginormous have standard ¾" copper fittings for pole mounting.
Fancy Pottery Sunflowers
For our Fancy Sunflowers, I use the bolder textures used in our Original Sunflowers, glazing the centers with in a rich chocolate brown and the petals with wild, unexpected jewel tones.
