Applied decoration in the center—using soft clay and a mini extruder with a die reminiscent of a pasta maker—reflects the complex centers of the flowers in the aster family, including sunflowers. This is one of the most labor intensive pieces in my repertoire, requiring repeated applications of extruded material to fill the flower's center, enhanced by the chocolatey glaze.
The Shino glaze, one of our more subtle and consistent glazes, perfectly complements this design's complex center. A labor of love.

Display Options
Except for Minis, all Sunflowers have wire for wall mounting; Minis can accomodate your choice for wall display.
Poles for using Sunflowers as free-standing art in the garden are not included with any Sunflowers except Minis. You will need to purchase stakes or pipe in the following sizes:
- Tiny and Small Sunflowers – ¼" steel stakes.
- Medium and Large Sunflowers - ½" copper pipe.
- Extra-Large and Ginormous - ¾" copper pipe.
