Applied decoration in the center - using semi-liquid clay and a pastry bag with a rose tip (thank you, Martha!) - is dramatically enhanced when light hits the chocolatey glazed surface, complemented by luscious caramel petals.
The Leopard Shino glaze is one of my favorites, both because of its name (I am a cat person, after all!) but also the gorgeous nuances it brings to my work. It pools like warm brown butter inside the petals, transitioning to delicious toffee tones. A show stopper.
